In short: E-scooters with type approval and an insurance sticker may be ridden from age 14, mainly on cycle infrastructure, at up to 20 km/h.

Notes

  • A helmet is recommended, not required. The amended rules that apply from March 1, 2027 do not add a helmet requirement.
  • An amended eKFV changes riding rules from 1 March 2027.
