  • The limits apply to dried plant material. At home, 50 g is the total held. More than 25 g away from home is allowed only on the grounds of a licensed club or during transport under section 22(3).
  • Up to three plants at once at the residence or habitual place of stay. Home-grown cannabis may not be passed to third parties.
  • Licensed non-profit cannabis clubs may supply their members only: up to 25 g a day and 50 g a month for members aged 21 or over; lower limits and a THC cap apply to ages 18 to 20.
  • Use is banned near anyone under 18, in or within sight (up to 100 m from the entrance) of schools, playgrounds, children's and youth facilities and public sports grounds, and in pedestrian zones from 7:00 to 20:00.
  • Only physicians may prescribe; dentists and vets may not. Prescribed cannabis is dispensed only through pharmacies.
  • Any adult may hold up to 25 g. The 50 g and plant allowances apply at a residence or habitual place of stay, and club membership requires a residence or habitual stay in Germany.
