Notes
- A bicycle (rower) may have a pedal-activated electric motor of up to 250 W and 48 V whose output falls to zero above 25 km/h; such a vehicle is a bicycle under the Act.
- No minimum age for riding a pedelec was found in the Road Traffic Act. The rules for cyclists under 18 are in the driving licence legislation, which was not readable in this round.
- The cycle-card (karta rowerowa) rules for young cyclists are in the driving licence legislation, which was not readable in this round.
- A bicycle is not among the vehicles that need a registration certificate and plates (Art. 71(1) lists cars, tractors, mopeds and trailers). Liability insurance rules were not readable in this round.
- The Road Traffic Act text read does not classify speed pedelecs (EU category L1e-B) separately. They are not covered by the pedelec definition above; the rules were not confirmed in this round.
