In short: Denmark allows travellers aged 18 or over to bring in, for own use, 800 cigarettes, 10 litres of spirits, 90 litres of table wine and 110 litres of beer from another EU country. From outside the EU, travellers aged 17 or over may bring 200 cigarettes, 1 litre of spirits, 4 litres of table wine and 16 litres of beer duty-free. Notes

  • Allowance for own use for travellers aged 18 or over arriving from another EU country; the same page lists 400 cigarillos, 200 cigars or 1 kg of smoking tobacco as other tobacco limits. Travellers aged 16 or 17 may not bring tobacco and may bring only beer and wine up to 16.4% alcohol. Some territories, such as the Canary Islands, do not count as EU for this purpose.
  • Table wine up to 90 litres, of which at most 60 litres may be sparkling. Fortified wine (22% or less, such as port, sherry and madeira) has a separate limit of 20 litres.
  • For travellers aged 17 or over. The tobacco allowances are alternatives: 200 cigarettes, or 100 cigarillos, or 50 cigars, or 250 g of smoking tobacco.
  • For travellers aged 17 or over. The allowance is 1 litre of spirits (over 22%) or 2 litres of fortified wine (22% or less), and in addition 4 litres of table wine and 16 litres of beer. Alcohol and tobacco do not count towards the separate value limit for other goods.
