Tobacco and alcohol customs allowances in Czechia (2026)

In short: From another EU state, Czech customs lists 800 cigarettes, 10 litres of spirits, 90 litres of wine (60 sparkling) and 110 litres of beer per traveller before the goods are treated as excise-liable. From outside the EU the duty-free allowance is 200 cigarettes (air travel), 1 litre of spirits over 22%, 4 litres of still wine and 16 litres of beer, for travellers aged 17 or over.

Notes
- These are the excise-free quantities that Czech customs lists for goods carried by a person from another EU state. Goods brought from another EU state are not subject to customs duty.
- The 90 litres covers wine, of which at most 60 litres may be sparkling wine.
- For travellers aged 17 or over. The page gives 200 cigarettes in its section on air transport; the figure for other modes of transport was not read. The quantities for different tobacco products can be combined proportionally.
- For travellers aged 17 or over. The 1 litre applies to alcohol over 22% vol.; alternatively 2 litres in total of drinks up to 22% vol., or a proportional mix. 4 litres of still wine and 16 litres of beer come on top.
