Notes
- The Act states 0.50 per mille of blood or 0.25 mg per litre of breath; 0.50 per mille is shown as 0.05%.
- Applies from 1 July 2025 (Act no. 567 of 27 May 2025). A person who drives without a licence in breach of § 56(1) is also held to the lower limit.
- The Act sets no separate limit for professional drivers in § 53, but this was not treated as proof that none exists elsewhere.
- § 55 says the police may require the driver of a vehicle to give a breath, saliva or sweat sample at any time.
