Notes
- Federal law. The ban is on sale to people under 18. Related products include e-cigarettes, liquids, refill containers and tobacco-free nicotine products (§ 1 Z 1e).
- Nicotine pouches are not named. They fall under the definition of tobacco-free nicotine products (§ 1 Z 14), which are related products, so sale to people under 18 is banned. No wider sale ban was found.
- Federal law lists the premises where smoking is banned: rooms for teaching and training, negotiation and school sport, school and child-care facilities including their outdoor areas, food and drink premises (not outdoor areas), multipurpose halls and festival tents, club premises in some cases (§ 12 Abs. 1 to 3). It does not state a ban for every indoor public place, so no yes/no value is given.
- Closed public and private means of transport used for paid or commercial passenger transport. The ban also covers use of related products consumed by burning or inhalation (§ 12 Abs. 5).
