Notes
- Sweden has two moped classes. These rules are for moped klass I (designed for up to 45 km/h). Moped klass II (designed for up to 25 km/h and at most 1 kW) is not registered and follows bicycle traffic rules; it needs a driving licence, tractor licence or a moped class II certificate (förarbevis) from age 15.
- A helmet is not needed in a three- or four-wheeled moped with a body if a seat belt is used instead. Passengers under 7 may wear another suitable head protection.
