  • Sanctions last 1 to 3 months for substances in tables II and IV and 2 months to 1 year for tables I and III; they include suspension of the driving licence (up to 3 years), firearms licence and passport. A first minor violation may end with a formal warning from the prefect.
  • The exact quantity limit is set by a Ministry of Health decree that was not read.
  • Exceptions: hemp grown for fibre or other industrial uses allowed by EU rules, and cultivation authorised by the Minister of Health for universities and public research laboratories.
  • Article 73 (production, trade) was read but its wording for cannabis (table II) could not be confirmed.
  • The sanction is administrative, not criminal, and covers acquiring and holding for personal use; the text does not mention public places.
  • The Ministry of Health pages could not be read (access blocked).
  • Sanctions include suspending the residence permit for tourism of non-EU nationals.
