  • A person under 21 who shows a military identification card as a member of the Armed Forces is not a minor under the statute.
  • Nicotine pouches are not named in the Arkansas texts read. Under federal law any product containing nicotine is a tobacco product that cannot be sold to under-21s; Arkansas law covers alternative nicotine products.
  • "Public place" includes bars, restaurants, retail stores and shopping malls. The copy read shows a blank effective date; exemptions include restaurants and bars that exclude persons under 21 and some smaller workplaces.
  • The ban covers vehicles owned, leased or operated by the State or local government bodies, and "public transportation facilities" are listed among public places. Privately operated transport is not named.
  • Based on the text of Act 811 of 2011; Arkansas does not publish a free official consolidated code, so later amendments could not be checked.
