Notes
- Fireworks Regulations (R-033-2003) ss. 2-3, made under the Fire Prevention Act. 'Fireworks' includes sparklers, fountains, roman candles and rockets. A person who wishes to sell, offer for sale, give, purchase, possess, store or set off fireworks applies to the Fire Marshal for written authorisation; the Fire Marshal (or deputy, assistant or local assistant) may attach conditions. The text read is an office consolidation, not the official version. The federal age rules also apply.
- No provincial or territorial rule on consumer fireworks could be verified. The federal rules apply (aged 18 or over; see the Canada page) and municipal by-laws may set sale periods, use periods and banned places.
