Car speed limits in Nevada (2026)
Last reviewed: 9 October 2026
In short: The statutes set no default numbers by road type. No one may drive faster than the posted limit or above 80 mph, and the Department of Transportation may set limits up to 80 mph on its highways. School zones have a 15 mph limit and school crossing zones 25 mph at school times. Speeding penalties are doubled in signed work zones while workers are present.
