Road tolls and vignettes in Ireland (2026)

Last reviewed: 13 October 2026

In short: Ireland has no vignette system. Cars pay tolls on ten national toll roads, including the barrier-free M50 and the Dublin Port Tunnel, and on the East Link bridge. TII sets the tolls each year with an inflation adjustment.

Notes

  • No vignette system. Tolls apply on individual roads, bridges and tunnels. The TII list page itself still says rates 'from January 1st 2025'; the 2026 tables were used.
  • Amounts for 2026. TII adjusts tolls each 1 January by an inflation mechanism.
  • Late payment adds default tolls: EUR 4.00 on the applicable toll, then a further EUR 51.00, then a further EUR 128.00.
  • The Transport Infrastructure Ireland page states these are the payment options at barrier-operated plazas. The M50 is barrier-free and is covered separately.
