Notes

  • The regulation read dates from 1996 and its Orden Jurídico Nacional copy shows no later amendment of Art. 65; the parent Ley de Tránsito y Transporte (last reform 1 September 2015) and the 2014 Ley de Movilidad Sustentable were not found to change it, but this was not exhaustively checked. Municipal regulations may differ.
  • The 1996 regulation was issued under the Ley de Tránsito y Transporte, which was repealed in 2017. Under the transitional provisions of the Ley de Transporte y Movilidad Sustentable it continues to apply as far as it does not contradict the new law.
