In short: No state rule on alcohol sales could be confirmed from a readable official source. The national Ley General de Salud bans supplying alcohol to minors.

| Where and when alcohol is soldBuying and drinking alcohol | Shops, supermarkets and liquor stores: 10:00-23:00 Monday to Saturday; sealed containers on Sunday 10:00-14:00 (art. 15). Bars, cantinas, clubs, hotels: 11:30 to 02:00 Monday to Saturday; restaurants: 11:30 to 02:00 every day (art. 14). These are maximum hours that the authorities may reduce (art. 17).
