Drink-driving limits in Nayarit (2026)

In short: Nayarit's mobility law bans driving with more than 0.05 g/dL of alcohol in blood (0.25 mg/L in breath), and any alcohol for passenger and cargo vehicles. Alcohol tests are permanent and roadblocks with random checks are provided for in the regulation.

Notes

- Motorcyclists: more than 0.1 mg/L in exhaled air or 0.02 g/dL in blood is prohibited. The figure shown is 0.05 g/dL as 0.05%. Municipal rules may differ.
- Fines are in multiples of the UMA (the federal unit of account). Licence suspension for drink-driving: Article 171 IV; cancellation for repeat offenders: Article 172 IV. Public-transport drivers with any alcohol face a further 15 to 60 days' suspension (Article 433).
