Notes

  • This applies within a settlement or municipality where no traffic control device sets a maximum. Section 170 makes a posted limit apply until another sign changes it. The consolidation read is current to 6 December 2019; later amendments (S.Nu. 2020 c.15, 2021 c.10, 2021 c.20, 2025 c.15, 2026 c.7) were not all read, and the one read (2021 c.10) does not touch section 169.
  • This applies outside a settlement or municipality where no traffic control device sets a maximum. The consolidation read is current to 6 December 2019; later amendments were not all read.
