Notes
- Four plants per house, not per person. Indoor plants must be inaccessible to anyone under 19 and to uninvited visitors; outdoor plants must not be visible from public spaces and must be in a locked enclosure at least 1.52 m high. Tenants need the lessor's written permission, and condominium bylaws apply.
- Adults aged 19 or over may consume cannabis in a private dwelling or on vacant land with the occupant's consent, or in places specified in the regulations; it is illegal in public spaces. Consumption is also barred in a private dwelling where a registered private school or early childhood centre operates while it is in use, and in vehicles.
