Notes

  • The Congress's list of laws shows this Law as in force (vigente). The Ley de Movilidad y Seguridad Vial (reform of 31 December 2025) abrogates the Ley de Transporte, the Ley de Seguridad Vial and the Ley de Fomento al Uso de la Bicicleta, not this Law, and contains no seat belt or child restraint rule. Article 44 names the driver and passengers without naming front and rear seats separately.
