Notes

  • The regulation separates holders of a licence (adults) from holders of a permit (minors). It does not itself state the number 18.
  • The law text read is the version with the last reform of 29 September 2020. The official SEMOVI procedure page could not be read to confirm the age in practice.
  • The text says 'mayores de quince años' (over 15); the age is counted in completed years, so 15 is given.
  • The traffic regulation mentions the permanent Type A licence when listing what drivers must carry. Other validity periods offered by the city could not be confirmed because the SEMOVI website was unreachable.
